Every baby deserves a silver spoon...or a luxurious designer baby carrier by Bronwen Handcrafted.  Founder and designer Bronwen Eastman de Gonzalez uses only the most luxurious designer textiles from runway favorites like Missoni, Vera Wang, and Marimekko. The slings come in four different styles and include a line of carriers for dads.

Bronwen Eastman de Gonzalez used to lead a busy life as a chef, but when she became a mom she knew it was time for a change. Always motivated by her creativity, Bronwen decided to use her artistic skills to start her own baby sling business.

Less than a year later, she has already launched two other websites under Bronwen Handcrafted: www.bronwendesign.com, which offers intricate jewelry pieces and www.aguamielimports.com, which features unique crafts from Mexico that serve as a great source of inspiration for Bronwen Handcrafted.

Besides her little one, her top priority is finding superior materials in order to continue offering products of the highest quality. Her vision for the baby carriers is none too cutesy, but rather exotic, chic, "a tribal aesthetic translated into more contemporary or urban looks.” This vision comes alive using gorgeous prints and plush fabrics like Italian linen, silk, and high pile faux fur. We especially love the Marimekko ring slings with striking graphic prints.

Now with a thriving business and a 13 month old to look after, Bronwen is happily busier than ever before: “My job as a mom is changing constantly and the business and its needs change from day to day and from week to week too, so I just try to ride the waves and roll with the punches and keep my priorities straight.”

   

Bronwen sees many more busy days ahead, as she plans for the expansion of her business to include baby clothes, new sling materials, a line of less expensive slings, new jewelry and houseware items.
